Terms and Conditions of Service

1. What L2Hope is

L2Hope is a private Lineage II server, run on a non-profit basis by fans of the game. We have no relationship with NCSOFT or with any company holding the rights to Lineage II.

By registering an account you accept these terms. If you do not agree with any of them, do not complete the registration.

2. Your account

• Each person may have only one master account, with up to five game accounts linked to it.
• You need a valid email address. We use it to verify your registration and so you can recover access if you lose your password.
• You are responsible for what happens on your account. Do not share it or lend it.
• Your password is stored encrypted. We will never ask you for it, not by chat, not by email, not by any other means.

3. What we expect from you

It is forbidden to:

• Use bots, third-party macros or any tool that plays for you. The server has a detection and hardware recognition system; trying to evade it is grounds for a sanction in itself.
• Exploit game bugs instead of reporting them.
• Sell, buy or trade accounts, characters or items for real money outside the official channels of the server.
• Harass, threaten or discriminate against other players, in the game or on the forum.
• Impersonate members of the administration team.
• Attempt to access other people's accounts or the server's systems.

4. How we apply sanctions

When a rule is broken we apply gradual sanctions: a warning, a temporary suspension and, in serious or repeated cases, a permanent suspension.

If you have questions about a sanction, you can write to us at soporte@hopechronicles.club. We review every appeal, although the final decision rests with the administration team.

5. About purchases and cosmetic items

• Hope Coins are an internal server currency. They are not money, have no value outside the game and are non-refundable.
• Cosmetic items grant minor bonuses that are uniform across them. There are no paid-exclusive items that grant significant combat advantages or break the game balance.
• Silver Hope Coins are earned by playing: voting, taking part in events and hunting raid bosses. They are not sold.
• If your account is suspended for breaching these terms, you lose access to what you purchased with no right to a refund.

• We do not do wipes. Players' characters and progress are kept.
• Major changes to the game are announced before they are applied.
• The administration team does not take part in the game with advantages over others.
• If, for reasons beyond our control — technical, legal or financial — the service could not be sustained, we will give as much notice as possible.

8. Your data

• We store your email, your username and the IP address you register from.
• We use them solely to operate the service: verifying registration, recovering access, preventing abuse and contacting you if needed.
• We do not sell or hand over your data to third parties.
• You can ask us to delete your account and your data by writing to soporte@hopechronicles.club.

9. Limitation of liability

The service is provided as is. We do our best to keep it available and stable, but we cannot guarantee that it will be free of interruptions, errors or data loss caused by technical failures.

We are not responsible for conflicts between players or for agreements they make among themselves outside the server's systems.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will announce it on the site and on the forum. Changes affecting players' rights are announced in advance. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
